The writer of this novel is Harper Lee, and it was published in 1960. This book won a Pulitzer Prize, and very soon after its publication, it became a part of American Literature. With its instant popularity, it became successful and one of the best widely read books.
The background of the novel is set back in the “Great Depression” era, when the stock market crashed, unemployment at its peak, and people and families were on the road due to business loss.
A girl, Jean Louis “Scout,” is living with her brother and father. Her father is known as an honest Lawyer in the town of Alabama. A rumor was spread by children in the town about a monster who had never come out of his house.
After some time, they learnt that the monstrous “Boo” is a shy and kind-hearted man. Scout’s father presents in a Court to defend a black person who was arrested in the case of a back girl’s rape. He knew this case was tough in a racist society.
On their way home, Scout is returning home and was attacked but escaped by Boo. Boo is now presented as a hero, this town being a shy man.
The novel urges the reader to perceive the social injustice and play their positive role for the sake of society. Always have the courage to stand up against corruption and for the right.
2-Anna Karenina
Anna Karenina novel written by the Russian author Leo Tolstoy it was published in 1878. The novel highlights the value of family, love, social pressure, and human nature.
The story begins with the irresponsible brother, Anna Stiva Oblonsk, who cheats her wife, and her sister Anna Karenina comes to save their relationship. Anna Karenina is married to Alexei Karenin and has a child, attracted by Vronsky.
Her husband does not feel attraction towards her, which is why she continues her relationship with Vronsky. When he knew the reality of this relationship, firstly, he kept silent for the sake of maintaining respect in society, and later, he forgave her.
Anna starts a new journey in her life with Vronsky, and she goes against society and becomes addicted to drugs. Now Anna and Vronsky are fed up with their relationship, and Anna has to commit suicide. Now Karenin has become a symbol of silence.
The writer has conveyed a message through this novel, love is the name of sacrifice, and it is challenged by society pressure, and dare to move forward. The story tells us women are punished for betraying in love, and men are forgiven. Life is only peaceful when mental peace comes.
3-The Great Gatsby
The Great Gatsby is one of the best books of all time. It was written by American writer F. Scott Fitzgerald and was published in 1925. The story has been interpreted from the point of view of wealth and prosperity.
The plot begins with the protagonist Nick Carraway, who has recently shifted to West Egg. Gatsby is famous for his unlimited wealth and luxurious life. He invites people to parties, and he is surrounded by lavish life’s events.
Nick invites his cousin Daisy, and she is the wife of an arrogant, wealthy man, Tom. She is a charming and beautiful girl having all this her husband has an affair with another girl.
Nick gets an invitation to Gatsby’s party, and he is inspired by the way he treated Nick. During their conversation, Gatsby tells Nick he has loved Daisy for the last five years.
He requested that he meet her again and reunite them. It is decided that Daisy will leave her husband. While driving, Daisy crushed Myrtle. Gatsby is worried about her, and he takes the blame on himself.
Myrtle’s husband shot Gatsby and suicide. Nick knew the reality of life that life is not fit for an honest person. The message conveyed by this novel is that hard work can make a person rich but not may happy. Relationships should be based on love, not on self-interest. Blindly chasing wealth can lead to a dry dream.
4- Don Quixote
Don Quixote is also one of the best books of all time. The author of this novel is Miguel de Cervantes, and it was published in 1605. It tells the story of human observation from the perspective of Alonso Quixano.
He considers himself a knight, renames himself, and sets out on a mission for justice. He does not see the world as it is. He has no control over his emotions and thoughts. He starts fighting with windmills that show his delusion.
Sancho Panza, a farmer who lives with him for the sake of wealth and loyalty, because he has promised him to buy an island for Sancho.
Sancho knew the fact about his owner’s delusion. After a period of time, he was taken home from the adventure with the message that he had fulfilled his duty. He falls ill and remembers the past time, and dies peacefully.
Through Quixano’s observation, we learn that delusion lies in the future, although he sees beauty and challenges himself to act as, as the world he has made in his mind’s perception. The transformation of thoughts forces and inspires the reader to stay loyal to the soul.

One Hundred Years Of Solitude was written by Gabriel Garcia. He is a Colombian novelist, and it was published in 1967. The plot begins with José Arcadio Buendía and his wife, Ursula Iguarán, who are also relatives. They are in doubt, being a relative husband and wife, their child might be a victim of a genetic disease.
Arcadio is fond of scientific discoveries. He has two sons and one son who ran away with a girl. He second is a fighter, takes part in the war and loses the war, and lives a life of loneliness.
Ursula is innocent, who takes care of the family, and they have 17 children. All were born in war and were killed by the state military.
The story is based on fact, when an American company came to Mocondo with the mission to grow bananas. In the beginning company proved source of income for people, but after some time, it became a reason for financial issues for people due to its inhuman behavior.
When people raise their voice against this injustice behavior, the government calls the protest a rebellion. Thousands of people were killed by direct military firing. After this incident, rain continued for five years continuously.
The rain forces the company and takes away all people, including the company itself, from there. It also gives a message about how powerful nature is brutally. The power of nature in the form of rain becomes a destruction for a powerful company.
